It’s getting hot out! It’s good to always have a source of water when planning long runs. If you run near the lakefront, or in Bay View, there are lots of fountains marked off on this map. If you have some of your own to add, please let me know in the comments! I’d love to have a more comprehensive guide to hydration in the Milwaukee area.

Its a BUBBLER. http://www.onmilwaukee.com/buzz/articles/bubblerblog.html
St. Francis/Cudahy area needs more fountains! Um, I mean bubblers.
Haha, Tom, I called them bubblers in my Twitter post!
Tracey, you are SO RIGHT! If you find any more, let me know.
There’s a bubbler underneath the rock climbing wall at the Urban Ecology Center just off the Oak Leaf Trail near Riverside Park.
two additional sites I see right away.
In Shorewood, there is a bubbler at Atwater Park at the intersection of Lake Drive and Capitol Ave.
In Milwaukee, there is a bubbler in Ziedler Park on Michigan Ave in between 4th and 5th street
Just off New Berlin trail, there is a bubbler near the tennis courts in Buena Park.
Two that I use in Whitefish Bay:
Klode Park: At the entrance to the parking lot.
Cahill Park: On the east side of the pavilion.
More drinking fountains, some indoors, many offer restrooms, too:
- Riverfront Pizza on Erie St., Third Ward. Hang a left as soon as you enter, down the hall
- Miller Pavilion @ O’Donnell Park (near Betty Brinn)
- Discovery World
- Alterra on the Lake (outdoors, north end)
- Columbia/St. Mary’s, front door on Lake Drive, walk thru main lobby
- Atwater Park in Shorewood, right on Lake Drive
- At Northpoint, there is one in the entry to men’s room (ladies’, too?), also one on the path a couple hundred feet north (you have these on map already?)
- Several at Bradford Beach beachhouse
- Lake Park Pavilion (Lake Pk Bistro), lower level in back (you have that one?)
- Starbucks at Red Arrow Park (skating rink)
- Two at Whole Foods Market, opposite ends of the store
- The Public Market
- You know, each season there are porta-potties in several locations on Lake Dr. between Kenwood and, say, Whitefish Bay, at houses under re-/construction (different subject, had to mention)
There’s another one on the back side of the Central Public Library, on the southwest corner of 8th and Wells. Thanks for the map! Great idea.
There are a couple of water fountains along the Glacial Drumlin Trail in Waukesha. On is just west of MacArthur Road & another is about a half mile past Creekside Ct. where you see some baseball fields just south of the galcial drumlin trail.
Here are some more along the Oak Leaf trail in Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, and West Allis:
1. Indoor bubbler in the golf clubhouse in Doyne Park (plus a bathroom) — available whenever the clubhouse is open.
2. Outdoor bubbler in Jacobus Park next to the pond house (seasonal–usually available late May until October)
3. Indoor bubbler in the golf clubhouse in Hansen Park (plus a bathroom) — available whenever the clubhouse is open.
4. Outdoor bubbler in Greenfield Park at the golf clubhouse (seasonal).
Here are a few in the Menomonee Falls area: Main St at Mill St, Pilgrim Rd at Menomonee River Parkway (at the baseball stand), and at both pavilions in Rotary Park.
There’s one at the shelter near the boat launch/parking lot between the Brady St Footbridge and the marina.
Thank you so much for all the suggestions, everyone! I will work on getting the map updated to reflect them!
There is a bubbler and bathrooms in Veterans Park in the shelter next to the kite shop.
There’s also a bubbler on Henry Clay in between Kimbark and Ardmore in Whitefish Bay. It is right in front of the tennis courts. This was my saviour while training for the Lakefront Marathon last year.
