Meet FitMke Indoor Marathon Relay Team Amy Kant Dance

I don’t know how this team came up with their name. For the record, I CAN dance.

John Mosey, Captain

  • Running Since: Otoberish of last year
  • Miles run per week: recently, umm… like 5. When I was trying, 20ish
  • Favorite Place to run: To be honest, I don’t like running. I do like running with people I like though. Is ‘with friends’ a place?
  • Proudest Running Achievement: That I do. (I took a couple decades off)

Sara Schnoor

Running Since: Summer of 08
Miles run per week: typically under 10, in training now, so around 20
Favorite Place to run: Lake Drive, the lakefront, Lakeshore State Park
Proudest Running Achievement: Crossing the finish line in Vegas on Dec. 5th with Team Challenge!  (half marathon)

Chelsey Foster

Running  Since: I ran track in high school, but only did sprints and pole vaulting. The joke was if I had to turn left on the track more than twice, it was too far for me to run! My last semster of college, my psychology professor challenged me to take his 10k/ half marathon training class. I started running in February 2010, and discovered that I really loved running!
Miles run per week: Usually around 5-8, but more when I’m training for an event
Favorite Place to run: My favorite place to run was around my college town of Ripon, WI. Some of my friends and I had extremely busy schedules, so we would run as a group late at night. Our usual route took us up some of the steep hills in town, up to the quarry and “The Mouse” (a giant mouse statue that stood on top of a building near the quarry). There was also a giant dinosaur!
Proudest Running Achievement: Finishing the RC2 10k at Ripon College. This race counted as my “final” for my running class and was what I had been training for all semester. I was sick the entire week, and on race day the temps were in the low 40s and it was raining. It was tough, but I had a smile on my face the entire time!

    Mike Collins

    Running Since: January 2009
Miles per week: 2010 average was 15 miles per week. September 2010 average was 2.
Favorite Place to run: Locally, Milwaukee’s lakefront. I travel a lot for work and one benefit is running in different places. 2010′s favorite runs were in Estes Park, Colorado; Boulder, Colorado; and the boardwalk at Rehoboth Beach, Deleware. Least favorite was a mall parking lot in Dallas, Texas.

    • Ohmygod I think Mosey just gained back humanity points for this: “To be honest, I don’t like running. I do like running with people I like though. Is ‘with friends’ a place?” That’s so sweet! The team name makes me giggle.
