I’m not ashamed to admit it. It started innocently enough. I began drinking diet soda back in high school when I started becoming more weight conscious. (Sad, but the truth.) I didn’t love it like I do now at first, but after a while I developed a taste for it. And oh, what a taste it was. I remember my mom and I going through case after case of the stuff. We stocked up on multiple 24-packs whenever it went on sale at Target. And fountain Diet Coke . . . → Read More: Diet Coke: A Love Affair

This Saturday, July 30th I will be at the Lapham Peak Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest for a trail run and would like to invite you to join me. I’m hoping to run each of the trails out there, so runners of all abilities are welcome. If you’ve never run trails before, but are looking for a good introduction, this might be perfect for you. For more information, send an email to marty@fitmilwaukee.com and we can talk through which trail(s) might be best and what time and where to meet.

Knock, knock….
*Ahem*
Hello?
It seems we may have fallen a bit off the map here at FitMKE. Maybe it was all that post-Great Milwaukee Race excitement? Or maybe a bit of the summer lazies. It can be so easy to get pulled off track in the summer months. There’s just so much to do! So many places to go! Back in May (when it was still winter-esque here in Wisconsin) it was easy to make plans for all the awesome things I wanted to accomplish this summer. And now here we are already halfway through. Writing blog posts aside, I have . . . → Read More: Summer Lovin’
