Join FitMKE for a fun morning running on area trails. We’ll introduce you to a few of the trails at Lapham Peak while also giving you some trail running tips and advice.
Where: Lapham Peak State Park
When: Saturday, July 7th (9am and 10:30 am)
Distance: Approximately 4 miles
Cost: FREE
What to bring:
Water
We’ll likely be out on the trails for an hour or more, but there is no place to get water out there. I highly recommend you bring enough water to get you through a 1.5-2 hour workout (better safe than sorry). For comparison, I will be bringing a 70oz hydration pack full of water.
Attire
Wear normal running attire. As for running shoes, wear whatever is comfortable for road running. If you have two equally comfortable options, go with the least “minimalist” one. This is not the time to try out your new Vibrams or barefoot running for the first time.
Prerequisites:
You should be able to run at least a 10K on roads.
Who is invited:
Everyone! There will be two groups for this event (two different start times). One group will be those who run 12:00/mi or faster on roads; the other will be for slower than 12:00/mi. Please let me know which group you would like to be in when e-mailing to register.
